Supporting Active Travel in Wānaka
Wide Span Sheds Central Otago is proud to have delivered three custom-built bike shelters as part of the QLDC Schools to Pool initiative. Located at Kelly’s Flat Recreation Ground, Mount Aspiring School, and Wānaka Recreation Centre, the shelters provide secure, weather-protected spaces for cyclists of all ages.
Designed with durability in mind, these structures encourage more students and locals to embrace active travel while ensuring bikes are kept safe and dry. Their simple, functional design complements the surrounding facilities and supports the wider goal of creating sustainable, low-carbon transport options in the region.
Like all Wide Span Sheds projects, the shelters are engineered to withstand New Zealand’s conditions, making them a reliable community asset for years to come.
